Just wanted to let you know that Coco is doing fabulously! Had a great check up and had his shots. He weighs 9.7lbs/4.4kg. He is beautiful and loves to follow me and my husband around where ever we go. He talks quite a bit and we also talk to him. Very sweet personality. Our 14 year old dog passed away in Feb, so Coco was very talkative then and kept checking all the rooms and looking for him, but now he is the total king of the castle and well loved. Thanks for a wonderful pet.

Thanks again for having us out there. It was a fantastic experience; your cats and kittens are wonderful. I will definitely give glowing reviews of your cattery and how well you take care of them. I am really happy that we are getting a kitten from a breeder that takes pride in what they do, and more importantly that so much care and love goes into what you do. Your farm is amazing and it was a pleasant escape from the city for both Pasha and I. Thanks again and can't wait to take the little buttercup home.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Brune

Hello Marilyn,
We are just loving these sweet little girls and want to thank-you again for Bella & Thea. We picked them up at Harbour Air in Vancouver. They were even cuter than we expected and the employees at Harbour Air fell in love with them too! It seems that Thea is the most adventurous with Bella not far behind. That is even reflected in the photos with Bella always peeking out from behind her sister. When it comes to meal time though Bella is front and centre with both paws in the food dish while she eats, as if to say to Thea "back off sister it's all mine."
They spent the day yesterday exploring the condo, eating, sleeping and fascinated by the litter box. They knew just how to use it so we had no problems there although we do expect an accident here and there as they get accustomed to their new home. They have several favourite sleeping spots already and last night slept between our heads in a king bed living the life of luxury like two little princesses. Tomorrow they will have an introduction to our wonderful vets here in Burnaby as a quick check up. We will keep in touch and send photos so you can see them grow and settle in here. I have enclosed some photos taken today as you can see the are very photogenic girls and as I am an amateur photographer they will give me endless opportunities to pull out the camera.
Thank you again for these little loves!

Little girl is starting to come out of her shell. She was playing like a maniac this morning. It was very cute to see. She is eating more now and I think feels quite comfortable in the room she's in. Victoria (my daughter) has been taking her out to her room so she's seen a little more of the house, but as we have a larger home, we are going to keep her in one part for awhile. She is so little it would be easy to lose track of her. She is a real sweetheart. Very cuddly.
My three year old son has been calling her Lulu, so that may end up being her name. Oddly enough she seems very taken with him, perhaps because he's little, like her. He is a gentle boy and we definitely supervise him around her. Just wanted to let you know that so far everything is progressing just like you said it would.

Hi Marilyn,
Thought we would let you know that today we took "Andy" our kitten to the Vet. He had his booster shot. We had the vet check over as he had been scratching at his one ear. Thought maybe mites. The vet said he is excellent health. No mites and that he is going to be a big boy. He weighs just under 3lbs. He loves to eat. We are really enjoying him.

Hello Marilyn
We just got a new front loader washer and dryer, and Hunter is obsessed with them, especially the washer. He runs to it everytime we start it ... he jumps up onto it as well to see where the noise is coming from and hangs over the front ... he's so cute! Both Hunter and Chloe are doing well. Chloe is still my little puppy who follows me everywhere, and now sleeps between my legs and props herself up on my thigh ... still loves those belly rubs! They are such an amazing part of our lives.
Take care

Thanks for the great note Corky and Marilyn.
Oscar is thriving in our home. He eats like a horse and is tending to the fat side, so we will be keeping an eye on that. I've now switched his food to a mixture of Royal Canin kitten 36 and Royal Canin indoor cat in hopes that he gets the right stuff for a growing cat, but not too much fat. If you have other suggestions they are more than welcome.
He is absolutely beautiful and his colours are fantastic! Anyone who meets him is amazed at how handsome he is. Now, if only he didn't bite everyone. He is still very much a kitten and loves to play, he hides around corner and jumps out at people, and he chases and fairly often fetches his toys. He sleeps in our bed and takes up as much space as he could possibly take, quite often completely displacing my husband. He loves to sit on the side of the tub and splash me while I'm in the bath. When kids come over to play he wants nothing more than to get in the mix and roughhouse with him. I have a hard time keeping him away from the kids when they get crazy. He thinks he is one of the boys.
He still does not particularly like to be held, pet, brushed or bathed. He will let me pet him once or twice before he bites me, growling, nose tapping, firmly telling him no, nothing works. I'm still hoping he'll outgrow that. He always wants to be close to us, but not too close. He will definitely not sit on a lap, nor does he purr. I've never had a cat that doesn't purr! It's very odd. If you have any suggestions to get him
to be more cuddly, I'd love to hear them.
Wishing you all the best for the holiday season and the New Year.

Hi There,
Im sorry i havent sent a picture of my little Ragdoll yet. As you know, time and busy lives can pass very quickly. Well i just have to say we couldnt have gotten a better kitty. He is just perfect. Sweet, playful, fun, not aggressive at all and smart (well matter of speaking haha) and so healthy. All of us couldnt be happier with your choice for our family. Here is a picture of our little (or not so little anymore) Matisse (Mati for short)
Thanks again,
Oh, and we will definately be looking at getting a Pyrenees pup in the future as the next addition to our family.
Thanks for the card,
and Merry Christmas!

Hello Marilyn,
You probably get tired of people sending you kitten photos but... here are some of our dear ragdoll who we have named Harry or Prince Harry or even HRH Harry (in those especially demanding moments). Third photo down, Harry is in Susan Clark's lap (she has been talking with you about a kitten). As you can see she has great cat energy.
Harry is wonderful. Thank you.
warmest regards,
Karen

Hi again,
I can't believe that you sent me such a beautiful cat! He is just the style of cat that I wanted from you from the very beginning. I am really, really, happy! I have never liked Barfields type (especially the ear set) and it's probably a real Godsend that he wasn't interested by the girls. Blue Jeans is already settling in well and getting used to us, he seems a lot more friendly than either Barfield or Mitts, both of them tend to be a little tense, whereas even after the long trip and new surroundings he seems to be quite laid back. I would like to show him in the near future, do you have any vaccination records as I have only the details of the rabies shot? Ian took a few photos of him earlier today, hope you like this one.
Once again, a big thank-you to you for entrusting me with Blue Jeans, I am sure he will be a great addition to our cattery and I assure you he will be getting plenty of tender loving care!.
Very warm regards,
Noelle

Hi Marilyn: Just thought you might like to see how gorgeous Daisy-Mae is these days. This is a portrait I just did of her and she was so cooperative in posing. I think she knows she is a star. Hope all is well with you folks. Hope to get over to the island one day soon. I would love to see you and Corky again.
Take care. Hugs, Carol, Jim, Daisy-Mae & Lily-Rose

Hello Marilyn,
Thought I'd send a photo of Casey (now 7 years old)... my, where has the time gone? Casey has been a very healthy and happy girl. She adjusted well to our move to Nelson, B. C. She just loves camping in our fifth wheel, and will go for short walks with her harness on. People do a "double take" when they see a cat on a leash, especially when two dogs are walking beside her, (the "Queens" protectors).
Enjoy the picture.

Hi Marilyn;
Thought you might like to see a picture of lucky. Looks at home I think. We have grown very fond of each other. He has his own little ways, typical cat! But very good and we have lots of fun.
Hope all is well at the farm, I have spoke to your Mom she said she was fine.
Love Vera & Lucky.

Hi Marilyn & Corky,
Here are a few pics of Casper ... he's grown into one BIG gorgeous boy! We love his laid-back personality and get a real kick out when he gets into his 'burst-of-energy-mode' and zips around the house ... usually with a barking dog hot on his heel!
The two of them are like 'Mutt and Jeff' and get along famously. Thanks again for picking such a fabulous kitty for us ... we love him to bits! My dream would be to get another ragdoll kitten down the road.
Cheers,
Joyce Wurtele

Well Tessa gets bigger by the day - took to running across the room and hurling herself into the middle of the tree. She is firmly in charge of the two dogs and two cats and is extremely confident and very affectionate, quite perfect. Took her to the vet where she immediately took over there - the vet thinks she is an abyssinian masquerading as a ragdoll!. Anyway we are all quite besotted with her.

Our kitten is an absolute doll. He has the most spectacular personality we have ever seen. He loves everyone in our family and we already love him too! He is growing so fast and is so beautiful. He has adjusted super fast and well and rules our home. He is very responsive and comes when he is called already. I trimmed his nails for the first time yesterday and he did so well with that. His nose is still a little runny so I did not give him a bath yet but he is growing great and is very playful. He has tons of toys but his favorite thing is still the tiny size Dixie cups. He gets the biggest kick out of carrying one around and batting it across the floor, etc. He jumps sideways all puffed like he thinks he's a tiger but turns into a marshmallow as soon as you talk to him or laugh or whatever. He's hilarious. He is a lot bigger already and is eating and drinking great. He loves salmon & trout best and gets LOTS of attention. He sleeps a ton still and climbs up his big huge cat tree to snooze. I will try to send a couple pics of him. He is just the most wonderful little thing. Purrs away and is so loving. Just awesome. Definitely worth the 25 year wait and all the research into which breed. He's perfect.
Hope your trip home from the cat show wasn't too snowy and you had a wonderful Christmas. Three people I know now want a Ragdoll for their next cat! :-) It's been quite interesting to see how bonded Vince and this little kitten are. They are best buddies already. Amazingly Vince picks this little guy up and puts him on our bed. That is a miracle if you knew Vince. It is great. Our oldest son who is 20 is not an animal person at all and he just loves him too. He picks him up and holds him while he sleeps or just carries him around. It's shocking. We named him Togiak (Togie, like "hoagie") after a place in Alaska Vince used to fish commercially. We wanted an Alaska name for him and now it just fits him. He is getting a lot darker already and will be so spectacular I'm sure. I love the blues and especially the bi-colors. Thanks again so much and we will update you so you can hear how he is doing. He has the best of everything and all the love (and more, lol) he can use. He is the greatest. Take care,
Becky Mulcahy

Here's a recent photo of Tika. What a ham she is! We can't get over the sprawling positions that she gets into. What a large, cuddly bundle of fur she is :)
Merry Christmas!

Hello Marilyn:
Just dropping in to say Hi and let you know that I received Daisy Mae's registration papers in the mail today. She is officially now registered as Ragalong Miss Daisy Mae Pussums! Quite a handle, eh! She is such a sweetheart and it is hard to think of our daily lives without her. Thank you so much for providing us with so much love in one little kitty.
I am making a photo album of her from the time she was a little tiny kitten and I was wondering if you might have any photos of her Sire, Destiny's Child and her Dam, Miss Vanity Fair? If you could email them to me or mail them to me I would be so grateful. If there is any charge I would be happy to pay it. I looked on your website to see if there were any photos of them on the site but don't see these particular cats.
Daisy is looking great and is very healthy now. Jim and I want to wish you and your family all the very best for a wonderful Christmas. Here are some photos of our Miss Daisy Mae.
Best regards,
Carol & Jim Clifford

Hello Marilyn,
I purchased a male Ragdoll kitten from you on August 29th at the Tswwassen ferry terminal. He's now named Beau. I just wanted you to know that we're so happy with him. He's such a happy, beautiful little fellow, full of personality, and everyone who sees him falls in love. Even so-called 'cat haters' come under his spell. I know several people who, in the future, will be ordering one from you. I just felt I had to thank you for breeding such a wonderful little animal.

Hello Marilyn,
Sasha is working out great. She is the perfect little sister/playmate for Sapphire who is 4 1/2 yrs now. We were finding that Sapphire was playing too roughly for Sahara and SugarPlum, both 5 1/2 yrs. Sasha plays too roughly for Sahara and SugarPlum as well, but just perfectly for Sapphire. That's a mouthful. Sahara mothered Sasha for the first few weeks.
Sasha loves going outside with the other girls too. Her first day out she tried to climb the tree. We waited to bring her out until the end of September and only on a bridle and leash, same with the other girls. We have all of them vaccinated for feline leukemia and rabies.
We just love her dearly. We are complete again. Thanks so much. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Hello Marilyn,
I got your email, Thank-you. I was thinking about you the other day. Here are some pictures of the babies....WE are over one month vet free....lol. Chloe is doing really well, I think she has almost out grown her (what I call) her kitty cold, just a wet nose and very little drainage now. I have to tell you, she hates to be picked up, but loves to be loved up on her terms...lol...such a female! She comes up on the bed and flops over on her side so that Allan can tickle her belly, and you can almost hear the giggle...it's very cute.
She brings me her mouse so that we play with her. I've been reading this book for Indoor cats, and I'm finding out some new things. Our dog Casey just up and died a few weeks back and we have her ashes on top of the cabinet where the T.V. sits, and Hunter jumps up there and sleeps by her, it's really interesting. In the pictures he has taken over her bed, that sits in front of the fireplace. The first week of her being gone he was depressed, I felt really bad for Hunter...but Casey had always been the one that cleaned them and took the kittens under her wing, I guess you could say...she always played with Hunter, and Oliver. Chloe wouldn't give them the time of day...lol. Anyways, I'm starting to ramble...lol.
We are going to Arizona for 9 days next month and will have Allans cousin who works at the vets, stay here with them, but ever since we booked our flights, I have been missing the kitties and we haven't even left yet! I wish I could talk to them on the phone...hehehe...I know I'm nuts...hahaha. Anyways, hope your bearing through the weather alright out there....Hunter didn't like that first night of the storm, he stuck to me like glue.
Take Care,
Tonie

Hi there! It has been a long time I think since I sent you some updates on the kitties, Ollie and Sophie. They have become the best of friends and cuddle, play and groom each other. Sophie's kind of like a mommy to Ollie while he teaches her tricks like how to open cudboards and so on... And they play in the bathtub together. lol. I thought I would send you some photos! I hope all is well out there.

Hi there, thanks so much for the advise. God I love this cat. He is my little shadow. Where ever I am, he is usually close by. When I go for my shower, he has to be in the bathroom with me. Up on the counter while I dry my hair or brush my teeth. When I go to the washroom, same thing, he will bang on the door until I let him in! He smiles. He loves to play hide and seek. He sleeps with me every night and in the morning he will sit on my night stand and stare at me until I get up. I just can't imagine not having him! He is just the best kitty! Loves tin foil balls, sparkly hair bows and going into cupboards. He is very curious about everything!
Take care and thank you!
Chris

Hi Marilyn,
Hope all is going well with you guys , we've been sending you a few customers. Everyone who sees Teddy wants to know where we got him and of course we send them to you. I have got to say he's so gentle it's unbelievable and Ellie our Yorkie can't even get him mad , he's also is getting very big , he's at 11 pounds already and so lovable. Marilyn do you think we could get a price on another kitten??? We'll continue to send you customers at every opportunity, if we had known how sweet this breed of cat was going to be we would have had two in the beginning. At least think about it and get back to us.
Thanks for Everything

Hi Marilyn,
A quick update to let you know the girls are doing really well, they are growing and happy. We are really glad that we decided to get both of them, it wouldn't be the same just having one! I am sending you a photo taken on Thanksgiving after their bath, we took them to Sechelt for a couple of nights and they loved the little trip over on the ferry.
Hope all is well with you! Nose kisses from Ariel and JoJo (Jophiel)

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to own one of your beautiful kittens. I/we are enjoying Princess more than you can ever imagine. I am so glad I chose one of your ragdolls as my first feline friend! The canines of the house are quite enjoying her as well. I've attached a few pictures for your enjoyment...she really is the Princess of the house. The one of her in mid-flight attacking an unsuspecting Daisy is priceless-she and Daisy play and wrestle constantly (only when supervised, though!), they both love it.
Thanks!

Hi Marilyn!
How is everything going there? I just wanted to thank you again for my precious Merlin! He is such a sweet big lovable ball of fluff! He talks to me all the time, sleeps in the same spot beside me every night, and he's always right on my toes where evere I go! I even take him outside on a leash and he listens better than most dogs!! He cuddles up in my lap on long car rides too! He's the greatest cat I could of ever hoped for. Thank you so much, and I will be coming soon to look for a companion for my big boy!
Bye for now,
Jennifer Candy

He is such a pleasure to have - very friendly, great with people and just so cute. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him! He just had is first check up with the vet and he's doing great... already weighs 4.5 lbs.
Hope everything is going well with you.... thanks again for everything.

Hello Marilyn,
Thought you might enjoy a couple of pictures of one of your babies.... Casey, (Teabag x Clancy, 2 Aug. 02). She is now 5 years old - don't know where the time has gone. She is a real sweetie and we just love her. Is quite the talker and does definitely let us know what she wants. We now reside in Nelson (formally from Surrey) where Casey enjoys bird, deer and elk watching from her picture window over looking Kootenay Lake.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.

We love all three of them so much and we are such a happy family - THANK YOU for everything - we will always come back to you for our animals as they are simply the BEST!

Hi Marilyn.
Thought we would take a second and let you know how the " BOYS" are doing. They are getting so big-so fast especially Humphrey - He's going to be a big guy! We are glad we have the two-they are the very best of friends-get along so well-we love them to death. They are so entertaining to watch play and race all over the house-terrorize our 2 golden retrievers-they should have a ball with the Christmas tree! Hope you and your gang are all well-here are a few pictures of Humphrey & Leopold.
Take care, Colleen & Geraldine Barnett

Hello Marilyn,
The kids are doing well. Chloe is coming right out of her shell now, and is just starting to bloom. I didn't have to use the peroxide, even though we got her a little pink barney toothbrush...lol...it's really quite cute. She still feels the need to do her thing on the bed, but I've been lucky to catch her and put her right into the box. I have hopes that it'll be fine one day....it's like having babies all over again...lol.
They wake me up a few times through the night, because they feel this need to play and jump across our heads and chest. Nothing like a slow crawl of fur across your face at two in the morning.....but I wouldn't change it for the world.
They groom each other, and Chloe sleeps with her head on top of Hunters after she's cleaned his ears, she seems to be fascinated with them...and he with her bottom...keeps her clean!
As much as I miss Oliver, I'm grateful to have these two to help with certain days, they're a joy to be around. Cameron tells everyone that her and Braedon don't count anymore...when I come home she says that she's excited I'm home and comes out to say hi, and I.....come in the door say hi, then proceed to call my babies and hug and kiss each one oh them....lol...and when I call home the first thing I say is "how are my kitties doing"....
Here is that picture of Hunter on his kitty walk, he really quite liked it up there. Chloe likes going out in it now (she's not quite big enough for the harness yet) she climbs up the tower in a flash now...she just loves it, it's funny to watch her...she's found her hammock, of course Hunter takes the top one, but he will share it when he feels like it.
Tonie.

Hi Marilyn and Corky,
It took a week or so for my dog U'Gly to start playing with ROS (aka Oliver) but now it is a daily thing for a dog that is not usually very much into playtime! Look at how they are learning to love!!

Dear Marilyn and Corky,
I would like to give you an update of the two kitties, Usagi and Michiro.
It's been over 2 months since I took Michiro home, and lots of changed in that time. We are now moved into our new place in the Songhees. The space that the 2 kitties have to roam must surely be the envy of many cats (and people), Usagi eeps on looking up and down because of the tall ceilings in the unit (15 foot ceilings), lots of light, white everywhere, very different than her previous home for over 3 years.
Michiro is growing so quickly! He is at least 3 times the size he was, now at 4.5 lbs. He is very alpha male, running around chasing poor Usagi around, biting her hind legs. He would sometimes bite me awake, getting anywhere that is exposed - toes, legs, arms, even hair! He eats both his kitty kibble and his sister's kibble, and generally keeps Usagi on her toes. Poor Usagi was really tramatized when he was first bought home, Michiro spent the first two weeks with us locked in the bathroom, only to come out for small periods of time when I am home from work. As our move to the new place grew nearly, I decided to intergrate them. Not an easy task with Miss Usagi, she has perfected the growl very nicely.
But once in a while, I catch them actually getting along, just yesterday, I saw Michiro licking Usagi on the head, cleaning her. She looked very content! I was so touched and happy, and today, I caught them taking a nap together in my chair. She will often look for him when he wanders, or he would in turn cries if he cannot find her.
I am very happy that Michiro was there the day I came to visit, because he is a really precious kitty. He's definitely a lap cat, loves to sit in my lap for hours, very affectionate to strangers. This time I am making sure he is comfortable with many people. Also better, his fur is short! Not like Usagi's long fur. So much easier to take care!! I already introduced Michiro to the joys of baths and nail clipping. Next to do is teeth brushing! J
Anyway, I am sending you a bunch of pictures of the baby (some with Usagi). Hope all is well at Briar Glen Farms.
Regards,
Alice, Usagi and Michiro

Hi Marilyn
Thank you for the wonderful kitten, he's fitting in very well. At first he was a little disorientated but after we introduced him to our 12 week old yorkie... well the two of them are the best of friends. They got us with the running around and tipping over things but it sure is fun to watch them play. One doesn't go anywhere without the other... they eat and drink together. We named the kitten Skipper Teddy, but we call him Teddy. Ellie is the yorkie. Thanks again and hope all is well with you and yours.

Hi Marilyn,
It is so nice to hear from you again. Beamish has done wonderfully over the past month.
He had his 3 month vets appointment this past Thursday and passed his physical with flying colors. He had a booster shot and slept for about 4 hours after the shot and then was up running around and eating again as if nothing happened. He weighs 1.44kg, is eating Medi-Cal dry and canned and as you can see is growing like a little weed.
We absolutely adore him - he is very confident and adapts immediately to any new environment. He travels with us to our other home on the Sunshine Coast - loves the car and the our other home - immediately uses a new litter box and new food dishes.
He is the most affectionate kitten I have ever experienced - loves to be cuddled and likes lying in my arms on his back like a baby. I have attached some recent photos of him.
Thank-you again for a perfect kitten.
Bea
PS - thinking very seriously about ordering another kitten from you!

Good evening Marilyn,
I'd like to find out when you will have kittens available again; we're thrilled with the little boy we got from you in May (now named Thomas) and would like to get another. He has a wonderful temperament and personality and is absolutely gorgeous. You can see how his markings are coming in on the 0091 picture below.
Unfortunately, he's an only kitty at this point and I think he would enjoy a companion of his own species. Both of our elderly females passed away this month and he keeps looking and calling for them; he got attached extremely quickly and doesn't seem to understand why he can't locate his buddies.
Two pictures of Thomas are attached. 0091 was taken this week and 0012 was taken on May 23, my son's birthday (Thomas had a field day in the wrapping paper).
Thank you,
Linda

Marilyn,
We are just in love with our new addition to our family. She is getting along great with her new big brother. The two of them are never apart. She is definitely not shy and loves to play, and after playtime she sleeps like a baby. The first night she ate her food and used her litter box, so it looks like she'll be very happy in her new home. Do you have a picture you e mail me on her mother Canterbury? We would really like to see her mother. Thanks again and I will keep in touch with more pictures.
Carrie Ashley-Jones
P.S. Thanks again for meeting at Ikea hope you were able to pick out new kitchen cabinets!

Hi Marilyn,
It's been a long time. I adopted my Ragdoll from you almost 2 years ago now. His name is Charlie and I believe he came out of Fischerfarms Rowdy.or something like that. Born March 20, 2005.
I just wanted to let you know that he is absolutely wonderful. He is about 15 pounds now, perfectly healthy and has become extremely affectionate. He follows me everywhere and talks to me all the time. His temperament is amazing. He is really mellow and my friends are always commenting on how sweet he is. He plays fetch with my hair elastics and goes crazy for play mice and catnip.
I hope everything is going great with you. It looks like you're still in the business. I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful cat and let you know how much he is loved. Here is a photo of his trademark pose. A true Ragdoll.
Thanks Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn,
Seems like ages since I have given you any info re Caprice. Just want to let you know that she is fine,as adorable as ever. She has tons of personality and appears to be very intelligent. Very spoiled and can be a little demanding, especially when she wants to play. We have lots of conversation,I have no idea what she is telling me,nodoubt she is equally puzzled. We get along really well. I love here to bits, judging by the way she nuzzles me I think the feeling is mutual.Just thought you might like to know how she is.

Hi there,
The little guy arrived safe and sound. He doesn't seem to be too traumatized by his big trip. He is sure a handsome little dude.Once a got him coaxed out of the carrying case he went exploring. I put him in his litter box and he used it and has gone in once more on his own since. He has also has been eating and drinking. He seems to prefer the dry food that you sent with him. The Royal Canin. We had got him the Eukanuba and had that in his bowl when he arrived but he stuck his head in the Royal Canin bag and ate some so I put that kind in his bowl and he munched away on it. Should I get him the Babycat 34 or do you think he will be alright with the Kitten 34 which you sent with him?
Right now he is having a nap in the carrier( I cleaned it out).He seems to prefer it over the little bed we have for him so we will let him use it for a bed until he gets acclimated. He is a little grimy from the trip so will need a little clean up later on. He sure is a cutie. We will surely enjoy his company.
Thanks very much,
Al,Donnas and "Andy"

HiHo Marilyn,
Hope this email finds you and yours well!
Well, its official the older kitten is Nobu (means 'faith' and 'all knowing one' in Japanese) and the younger one is Toshi ( 'intrepid explorer') in Japanese.
Will have some pictures for you in the coming months...at the moment Toshi seems to be catching up in size to Nobu in the last 2 weeks...funny story Mum and Dad keep post-it notes around the house to remind them of how to say the boys' names...its soooo cute!;-)
By the way, question about Nobu's whiskers...noticed his whiskers seemed to be cut the same length except one while Toshi's whiskers are all different lengths? What's with that?
Anyway, having a great time with the "boys"...off to Sechelt this weekend with them...their first real car ride after coming home 2 weeks ago.
All the BEST,
V;-)

Hi Marilyn,
One week has passed and our little pet is settling in very well. He loves his hotel - lots of room to play hockey. He gets brushed every AM and takes his harness at least for 15 minutes each morning. He has been introduced to three rooms already and is with us in the dining room every evening. Loves his food and uses the litter box like a little gentleman. Very lively. We have named him Joaquin, pronounced "wakeen." I sing "Walking (Joakin) in The Rain" every morning to wake him to a new day. He responds to his name. Will keep you updated and send a photo in a few weeks.
Regards,
Carol Low
P.S. Just found out that my daughter bought a Great Pyrenees (Bruno) from you a few years ago!

Hi Marilyn,
I just have to let you know how well the kitten is doing!! His name is Beamish and within 15 minutes of arriving here at his new home he started eating kitten food and drinking water. He is using his litter box, playing with his toys, climbing up and down the cat tree and his little purr motor goes a mile a minute when we cuddle - which is often - he likes nothing better than to fall asleep in my arms. I would say he has been a brave and very confident little kitten!!!
Thank-you so much for the perfect kitten and I will update you again and send some pictures when he has grown a bit.
Cheers,
Bea

HiHo Marilyn,
Just a short note to say that "the boys" are settling in wonderfully! Wanted to thank you as they are very friendly and love to play. The older one purrs on contact... the younger one hasn't purred yet... do you have any "words of wisdom" on how to teach him that? Or will that come in time? They are both eating, pooping, and sleeping well too! ;-) Still working on names... Mum of course wants something with meaning and oriental like Nobu meaning "faith" and Dad of course likes names like Bentley... will be interesting to see what develops! Will let you know the names once we know! Thank you again for everything... they are very precious and special boys! All the BEST.

Hi Marilyn,
Our boy Oliver is coming into his own. We are soooo happppyyy with him... at least 99% of the time... except when he wakes us at 3 am looking for his fancy feast! We have created a monster... a great monster none the less. Many thanks for all the help and info. If we ever decide to get another kitten it will most definitely be from you, and we will be sure recommend you. We will keep in touch and let you know how our boy is coming along.

Hi Marilyn
Kitty "Beautiful Eyes" (not named yet) has a wonderful temperament. Very social and cuddly from the very start. Unlike my first cat who has a skiddish and jumpy personality. She spent 3 weeks in mostly hiding when I first got her. New kitty was ready to come out of isolation almost immediately... heading for the door everytime I entered the bathroom. No fear. He eat a ton, drank, and used the litterbox like a pro. So unlike first cat that cowarded at everything and is still a scaredy-cat. What a delightful difference! I followed your routine of keeping cats separated for the 48 hours...nervously anticipating their first encounter, as first cat spent the first day hissing at the bathroom door every chance she could get. I was sure that she was going to rip the kitty's face off the first opportunity she got. Well...Marilyn...I held my breath and introduced them to each other a couple of hours ago. They haven't stopped chasing each other and having a marvellous time. Such a huge sigh of relief for me. The first cat did a beautiful job of adjusting (never thought it would happen with her as she is, what I'd call, super sensitive to everything and a challenge as my first experience with Ragdolls). What a treat to have such a confident, outgoing kitty, right-at-home, little ball of fur, for my second experience...and absolutely gorgeous markings. Do I need to be concerned when first cat, weighing 5x's the kitty's size pounces on him? Or can I assume that it's part of the initiation phase and won't go too far? It's interesting that first cat is doing all the sneezing. Not the kitty (who's the most stressed?) Anyway, Marilyn, thank you so much for picking a perfect gem for me. He's managed to be quick to adjust to, not only, another spoiled cat, but new surroundings and a new mom. He's a real treasure!
Thanks, again.

Hi Marilyn, he is doing GREAT he ate and drank last night! and he comes to me now when I call to him...by meowing that is lol. he has even currled up on my lap and purred while i pat him. He is in my bedroom and has approached everyone in my family. he is doing really well! he doesn't meow yet...he mostly just squeaks really softly. But other then that. he hasn't got a name yet I haven't found anything I like. and my resident cats Gabby (Calio 4yrs old) and Beau (Snowshoe 3yrs,Male) haven't met the new additon yet. they will soon, I know they can smell him on me! I'm sure they will be fine. they are friends with my dad's dog (Summer, Sheltie 2yrs) so I think they will be able to handle a little kitten! Thank you for everything Marilyn he is a much welcomed and loved addition to my family! :)

Hi Marilyn,
Just wanted to send you some pictures. There is one picture of me and Patches (Seal bicolor female from you), but you can only see part of me. The other pictures are of Patches, and Gizmo, our blue lynx mitted ragdoll. As you can see, Patches is trying to nurse off of Gizmo in one picture. Good luck kitty! Gizmo is a boy. They seem to be getting along great. We love Patches, she is so friendly and purrs a lot! From day one, she was purring when we would pick her up. Thanks for a great kitten!

Hello Marilyn,
We have had Jamie for over two months now and I want to tell you how loved he is. He has a playmate "Benjamin" who is a couple of months older and they are the best of friends, it is a joy to watch them together. Jamie is an absolute "doll" he is gentle, curious, confident, and when he wants it, very affectionate, and we get his little wet nose rubbed all over us as he shows how happy he is. Jamie also loves his food and is quite vocal when he wants a top up!! - only soft food for him though, he just wolfs it down. I am trying to encourage him to eat more dry food. What a scare right now. Any advice for me on a really good brand of canned and dry food? Of course the little monkeys have to like it too! To say David and I are overjoyed with him is not an over-statement. I will send some up-dated pictures of him, with him friend also.
Best wishes,
Mary

Hi Marilyn,
I hope all is well out there in Sooke with your family, animals and humans! Jason and I are thinking about acquiring a little buddy for Dougal in a late May to end of June time frame. We are so happy with this little guy that we would like to have another of your beautiful kittens, and we both think Dougal would like a kitty friend. We are in the process of selling our house and moving to a quieter neighbourhood, but by then we will be ready for another one and I thought I'd touch base with you now.

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. They are travelling in cargo and I was planning on putting them in the same carrier, so i'm glad on the right track there :) In reference to the kitten questions thanks so much for the detailed info. I think she has actually decided to get one on her own and may have emailed you. Her name is Bea Carlson and she's pretty excited about it. Believe me, if I could get a third I would! Out of curiousity do you have any Blues? My parents are also tossing around the idea of getting a second kitty and would ideally like a Blue like Ollie.
Thanks so much for all of your help, you've been an amazing resource for me. Your kittens are amazing and I couldn't love mine more. I've never been as attached to cats as I am to my ragdolls. If you ever need a reference I'd be happy to give one as well. You do an amazing job!

I wanted to send you a couple of pictures of our two adorable ragdolls. They are rarely more than 5 feet apart and often we find them nestled together like these pictures show. Our kitten, Sotto voce, is so fun! He flops down in front of us everywhere we go to get some love and he purrs louder than any cat we've ever had. Xochi (our cat we got from you in 2004) is often right next to him and her favorite thing is to fetch toy mice. They are truly the perfect companions for each other and for us!
Everyone who meets our cats seems to love them and we tell them about our terrific experience with you. We like to tell people about how much we enjoyed visiting your beautiful ranch in Sooke and how gracious you and Corky were to us. We were both impressed with the sunroom full of cat trees for your ragdolls. It's clear that you do a wonderful job of taking care of each and every one of your cats!
Thank you,
Kara

Hi there!! Just thought I would drop you a quick note to say that "Sumo" is doing fantastic! Actually, "Sumo" is his proper name, however he gets call MONSTER a lot and few other names that are not too appropriate to mention! Just to set your mind at ease he has had all his shots and boosters so we are keeping to our agreement. Sumo is learning to accept a harness and he seems not too concerned about having it on, he knows it means he gets to go outside. I tied both he and Burger the Shitzu outside together and found them curled up sleeping on their bed in the sunshine. They have become such good wrestling buddies and both end up with wet ears and tired, then each take a good long nap! You can hear them stampeding through the house! Sidney the cat tolerates Sumo but I find she goes to her secret spot often to get a break from his nonsense. Dr. Breadner, the vet we go to actually suggested giving Sumo a time out in the bathroom for a few minutes when he harasses Sidney and we have started doing that and I think he is beginning to get it! Sumo is my constant companion, he sleeps beside me, follows me everywhere, cries when he doesn't know where I have gone, loves to play hide and seek, chase, fetch and helps me do EVERYTHING! He loves to be carried around on my shoulder in the morning, his cuddle time after his breakfast.
All in all, I can't tell you often enough how much we love him, he has brought so much joy into our home. We love him so much even though his a MONSTER!!!!!
Thanks again,
Chris Stephen

Hi Marilyn,
My husband and I bought one of your ragdoll male seal-point kittens back in February 2007. I had intended to send some pictures of Dexter sooner but never got around to it. So here are some photos from when we first got him to more recently.
We love him to bits and couldn't be more happy with his friendly demeanour and loving personality. He has brought many laughs and memories to us both and those who visit.

Hello Marilyn and Corky,
Just wanted to let you know that Harvey is doing great and continues to amaze us. He now knows how to fetch and brings the item right back to us! He follows me everywhere and is a great "help" each morning when I brush my teeth. Last year I submitted a picture of him to The 365 Kittens of the Year calendar and was delighted to see that they selected his picture and he's in the calendar for 2004 - December 9th and 10th. Here is the one that is in the calendar.

Good Morning,
Raggs turned 5 in July of 2006. My Daughter Kelly gave him to us when he was 7 months old and since that time has firmly placed himself in our lives. We're sailors and he acclimatized to sailing like a duck to water and especially enjoys the early mornings and evenings when the light starts to dim when he spends his time walking all over the boat.
He doesn't get to out on deck unless one of us is out there with him and one early morning I was sitting in the cockpit drinking coffee when out of the corner of my eye I saw a seagull swoop down the port side. The next thing going by was Raggs at full speed and as the gull swooped to the west, Raggs after him and landed right into the water. The next rocket was me down on the deck trying to get ahold of him but he moved on each time I reached down. Then as he turned to a heading to leading toward open water I rushed for the dinghy. You can imagine the howling that was going on but as he saw me going for the dinghy on the opposite side of the boat he came toward me where I was able to fish him out. When I placed him on the deck he literally flew into the cockpit then the cabin and forward toward his box. My heart sank because if he when into the litter box I knew I would have a time cleaning him off. Luckily he stopped.
A trip to the laundry room was then next step, much to the dismay of a lady doing her laundry (couldn't be a cat person), at our outstation to rinse the salt water off (in the sink not the machine!). He still watches and chases gulls and crows, but now stays out of the water! He is a great friend and even comes when he's called.
Regards, Warren Denny

Hi Marilyn,
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that we are absolutely loving our new kitty!!! We named him Sotto (short for sotto vocce), which means a soft voice in Italian. We were thinking that our new guy would be quieter than our other very talkative ragdoll, but he seems to be rivaling his new sister already. In fact, he adores our other cat so much that he cries whenever she's walked into the another room. She's turning out to be a great sister. Whenever he starts to meow she runs back into the room to chase him around and cheer him up.
It was amazing. They started to get along almost immediately, which is very unusual. I think it's because they came from the same great place and she reminds him of his mother. He has tried to milk her a few times, but to no avail.
Anyway, we'll try to send pictures soon. Hope everything is going well with you, Corky, and the renovations.
Thanks for all that you've done,
Kara

Hi Marilyn,
Billy (Blue) and Sammy (Seal) are adapting beautifully to Los Angeles. We've kept them apart for most of the time but have let them play together at times. They seem to have bonded with their mom and dad very well, too.
Again, thank you so much. They are the most darling creatures we've ever seen. It's an honor to be their parents.
Best wishes,

Thought you might be interested to see what the two kittens we got from you last spring (2005) are like now; they're one and a half years old. They are wonderful, and very spoiled. The Seal Point is Oli and the Blue Point is Jake.
Thanks so much.

Marilyn,
I am absolutely delighted with "Knickers"! She is turning into a very smart little cat. She seems to understand that when I go to bed, she should remain calm and quiet while she lies beside me. She seems to understand "NO!" When it's playtime however, look out! Nothing is safe from attack! I have been getting no end of entertainment from watching her antics. You were very correct about her doing well on the boat. No problems except when I flush the head. She runs away from the not so pleasant sounds. She travels well in the car and is no trouble about the leash and harness. And she is growing very quickly. So, I am very happy with my new little companion and want to thank you for a very good experience in acquiring her.

Hello Marilyn,
Just wanted to drop you a note about the little blue mitted male kitten that I got from you. He is doing really well, growing like a weed and has just a wonderful temperment. He was really timid for the first 3 days or so and I was rather worried and then he just decided he was going to stay and hasn't looked back since. He has fit in very well with my older female cats and although it took him awhile to warm up to the dogs, he is fine with them now. They are rather large so he is still a little weary of them but I imagine that will only get better. He loves to go outside whenever he can sneak out so that is a bit of a battle to make sure he stays inside. He is a real cuddler and such a people cat, you can't miss him.
I am moving again to Kimberley this time. I am sure he will make the trip just fine. He seems to take most everything in stride.
Thank you, you have lovely kittens.

Hi Marilyn, just a quick note to let you know that our daughter (Dawnae) cried when she saw Skyler. She was overwelmed. Little Skyler follows Dawnae all around the house, sleeps with her and in other words the two of them are "best of buds". He already is beginning to think he is part of the family and that he is. Because of his beautiful blue eyes, she chose the name Skyler. (Blue like the blue sky). He has adapted really well with our two puppies,(yorky/bichon) and our other Ragdoll (Terri) who is 9 years old. Terri is rather moody (she always had an atitude problem) but she is tolerating little Skyler and only hisses occasionally at him.
No we have not found our Teddy nor received any real leads. Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to welcome Skyler into our home. He truly has eased our pain and has brought us alot of laughter and enjoyment. Sorry but we still have not felt any little bump on his tail - are you sure the Vet felt the kink - we honestly feel that Skyler was meant for us and again we are grateful to have Skyler part of our family.
Thanks again.

Hi Marilyn
Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that we are very happy with our "new addition" Cooper.
After a rough couple of adjustment weeks, and overcoming some minor sickness, he has blossomed into a wonderful kitten. we have taken him camping a few times. He loves the campfire, and is quite content to take in all the fresh air and mystery of the "Outdoors". We trained him right away to be on a line, and he is more than tolerant now. He is very comfortable with travelling now, and is happiest sitting on the cosole of our truck between my husband and I watching out the window!!
He is amazingly sociable!! When my husband comes home from work our dog Scooter is always anxiously awaiting a pat and a treat, and now of course Cooper is right there too, waiting for his treat! As much as I am supposed to be the "cat person" in the family, Cooper has taken to my husband, and vice a versa. We couldn't be happier with him.
Thanks again,
Tammie Magnus

Hi there!
Just a few shots to let you know the boys are doing great, getting very big! Gabriel is bigger than Max, the little solid grey kitten is their little sister Ruby (she's the boss). Three happy cats, I'd have more but three is the limit says my husband.
Take care,

Hi Marilyn,
I'll send you some better pictures later. Mr. Behn Whiskers is already fluffier then in this photo, but here is a funny story for you to enjoy. The first one is of my daughter. Kind of a cute story. She was upstairs in the loft playing dress up. My husband and I went to check on her and to our surprise she wasn't the one dressed up. Behn was just purring right along as she held him and rocked him like her little baby. It didn't seem to bother him one bit that he was wearing, a pink dress! Ha ha! "You did say he was my Rag Doll right Mom!!!" Thanks again Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for the advice for Ollie, he is doing much better now and is using his litter box all the time, he's so smart! It took a bit, but Ollie and Milo are the best of friends now and play together all the time. They're great friends with Barney my parents' cat as well, so thank you for all three cats. They all have such different personalities, but are such great companions!
I have attached some pictures for you so you can see how the three cats are doing. Milo is the seal with the blaze and white paws. Barney is the seal with the dark paws. Ollie is the blue point. They're growing up so fast!!! Thank you again for all of your help and for taking the time to answer all of my questions.

Hi Marylin,
Hope you had a good weekend away. We all just adore Winston 2. He has taken over the house and is so much fun. He is a confident little guy and loves everyone in the house.
The first day he went to the bathroom where he made himself at home and that lasted about 6 hours. Then he decided the bathroom was to small for him and he dashed into Mark's room where he was much happier.
So we moved all his stuff there and he made himself right at home attacking the army guys, pouncing everywhere and playing with all his new toys. When he was tired he cuddled up in his bed and went to sleep. He was up early and then he discovered he could climb on to Mark's bed and that is where he sleeps all the time. If Mark is at school he sleeps on his pj's. They go to bed at night together and in the morning Winston is cuddled up right next to Mark. It is so cute!
He is eating like a horse and no mistakes with the litter box. He roams all over the main floor of the house usually looking for someone to play with. I have some adorable pictures of Mark and Winston in bed that I will send you. All in all I would say he is a happy kitty and we are just thrilled. Thank you so much for everything.

Hi Marilyn,
Caleb is simply perfect. He is a true "purr factory" - and loves cuddles. He is so quiet and interested in playing and rolling over for a scratch on his belly. Thought you may like a copy of his first photo at home.

PS. Caleb means "dog" and "bold" - let's see if he lives up to his name!

Hi Marilyn,
Just wanted to thank you again for giving us a beautiful ragdoll who has kept a smile on our faces everyday. Our kitten Joey is growing so fast and is a very happy healthy boy. He sure likes to play with our other cats and lay with them. Here is a recent picture of him.

Hi Marilyn,
I just wanted to send you some recent pics of Casper. Besides being gorgeous, he's sooo much fun! I never knew cats had so much personality. He'll follow you around like a dog, very playful, curious and loves to eat... definitely not a picky eater! We have to watch him because he's into everything... he likes to pick up things with his mouth and toddle off, being up on the kitchen counter and no matter how many times you put him down he's right back up there. He can zip from the kitchen table to counter top to island all in a matter of a few seconds. The sound of the microwave wave means it's feeding time and you can't leave any food on the counter as he's been known to drag a defrosting roast onto the ground or he'll be licking dishes in the sink, etc.
In the mornings, he waits for me to head downstairs and then he'll race down ahead of you wanting to be fed. We've had to put Casper in a different room when we're eating or feeding the dog otherwise he'll have his face in your plate of food. I don't know where we'd be without our pets because they certainly make life interesting! I always describe him as a confident kitty with loads of personality.
Cheers,
Joyce

Hi Marilyn and Corky,
I just wanted to tell you how much we love our new kitten Aria. She is a bundle of joy and she seems very happy to be with us. She alternates between playing, rolling around, sliding around on our hardwood floors, and relaxing with us. She knows where her litter boxes are, where her food and water are, and is enjoying the toys we have bought her! She has a wonderful personality.
We are feeding her the 'baby' Royal Canin dry food. We haven't given her any wet food at all, since our vet told us with our last cats that it tends to be bad for their teeth. Her incision from the spaying is healing up really nicely. I have a small scratching post, plus a large brand new one that I bought her. I haven't unveiled the large one yet, as I don't want her climbing up and hurting her incision.
Keep in touch,
Alison Bennett

Zorro (as he is now named, because of his mask) is doing great! He is playful, fearless, and terrific fun to watch. I have attached a picture of the boys and Zorro. Even though he is Rob's kitten, Ross is spending lots of time with him too (as are all of us!) Thank you for choosing such a great kitten for us.
We wish he had more colour... he has already needed a bath to keep him white! Oh well - he is having a terrific time, and showing us the areas of the house where we haven't dusted (like behind the toy shelves). He has become great friends with Grader, our used-to-be yougest cat. Grader usually is stand-offish, but he adores Zorro and plays with him. They wrestle, chase each other, and roll around on the basement floor (also adding to the bath needs!)
He's great, Marilyn -- thank you!

Hi Marilyn,
Last year I received a beautiful little kitten from you. Meca has grown into a mischievous cat. (To refresh your memory she was born in May and is a mitted seal.) A friend took this picture of her for me so I can now pass it on to you. I wanted to thank you again for giving me the opportunity to have this wonderful friendship.

Hi Alan & Marilyn,
It's Elizabeth from Vancouver! I bought two of your darling kittens last year, one in June and the other in August. The cats are doing wonderful. I just love and adore them! If I could, I would have ten of them!
Marley has been wonderful! I took your advice and took them both of the diet that the vet had prescribed. Ever since doing this, both Tiger and Marley have been happier, and healthier.
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your wonderful advice and expertise on how to bond and communicate better with them. So, I have enclosed a few photos so that you can see how much they have both grown. Tiger celebrated his one year birthday on Friday so he is a big boy now. Marely with be celebrating in June. I do hope that you are both keeping well. Take care.
Best Wishes,
Elizabeth Clarke

Hi Marylin,
I am sending a few photos of Sugar and Spice, our two Ragdolls we got from you. Sugar is 2 1/2 yrs. old, and we got Spice from you in December. Thank you so much for choosing her for us! She is the sweetest, cuddliest, easy-going cat we ever met! She purrs whenever we pet her, or talk to her... Sugar is her old selfish self (beautiful, but not a cuddler), but she is such a good Big sister to little Spice, and we're glad she has a playpal now. Hope you, your family and fur-family are well.
Kind regards,
Dragana Osghian

Hi Marilyn and Corky,
I'm sorry it took so long for me to email and thank you for giving us the most wonderful pet we've ever had. Mr. Jones is so beautiful, and he carries all of the wonderful traits that Ragdolls are known to have. I researched so much before deciding on a Ragdoll, and I'm so glad that I did. Mr. Jones loves to spend time with us, and he will follow me room to room. His favourite places to sleep are on one of our dining room chairs, or at night, in our bed between mine and my husband's pillows. Mr. Jones is the perfect cat for our family, and again, I thank you so much for all of the hard work you do to create such awesome creatures.
ps. If you notice red nails in the pictures, they are Softpaws vinyl nail covers. We would never declaw him, and these are a wonderful option.
Sincerely,
Sarah Hoover

Hi there,
I wanted to write to tell you guys Oliver is doing wonderfully and say thank you for allowing me to take this little guy. He's already about 5 lbs and he's adjusted very well. He is very talkative, especially in the morning and always has to be included whenever I do anything. He follows me everywhere and is very, very playful.
He also loves cantalope. LOL. When I'm eating it, sometimes when I'm not looking, he'll run away with a piece. So sometimes I will cut up a very tiny little piece and let him have it. And I hope that is ok. I researched it and it seems it is fine. So I have sent some pictures of him. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the pictures. I will talk to you again I'm sure.

Hello - thought you might like a photo and an update on Alfie, a blue mitted from Briar Glen who will be three in April. He's my gorgeous, fluffy baby who makes the ideal roommate because when I get home from a hard day at the office, the place is in (almost) the same condition as when I left it, apart from a few toy mice in strange places. He also has an affinity towards anything red - he loves the colour, in fact my slippers were the first to fall victim to his red obsession and he brings them to me in bed each night and makes me throw them so he can fetch them back and we start all over again. He's a perfect kitty (although he doesn't know he is one) and I love him to bits!

Marilyn,
I thought you would like to see how well our darling kitty is doing at our house. We call her Dixie, and she is the princess around here. She is adored and she adores everyone, especially our dog, Teddy. They have become great pals as the pictures I am inclosing will attest. Thank you for introducing us to Ragdoll cats at the Seattle Cat Show. Dixie has become such a welcome addition to her our family. Best wishes to you and Corky in the new year,

Hello!
Just wanted to thank you for your update at Briar Glen. I had hoped to stop by on your last show in Langley, but I just didn't get the time. I have also been trying to take a good picture of Alexander to send to you, but between his massive red eye and the darkness of my place, I never got a good one. I finally put his harness on him and took him outside!
Even at 11 months, he is still very much a kitten. He races around the house at 50km an hour, literally flying in the air. Several time I have felt the wind on my face as he has raced past it! He also hasn't learned yet that he is a "ground dweller", as I often find him on top of the refrigerator, which is over 6 feet tall. If I bend over just slightly, he is on my back! Anything left out is fair game for him. He likes shiny things. I had purchased some Quality Street chocolates to throw in with my home baking that I give as gifts. I came home from grocery shopping one day to find them spread all over the house. All of them had fang marks in them!! It must have taken him at least an hour to distribute them everywhere.
He has a "pet squirrel" that is a stuffed toy with a catnip teabag in it. It's very entertaining to watch him attack and run around the house with it in his mouth. This has been his toy since day one. About 5 months ago I had an orange tabby move in with us. This was a wild cat that I had spent over 9 months feeding and taming. He once was someone's pet, as he had been fixed. This guy is the friendliest cat going, and loves to play with Alexander. He spends a lot of time cleaning Alexander, which Alex just dies for! They are great for each other, and are even teaching my other cat Blaze to be a bit more "human".
So, my little army of 3 cats keeps me busy and happy. Alexander sleeps with me every night. A couple of times a week he lets out this ear-splitting wail. That means it's time for him to be picked up and cuddled. He spends some time kneading my chest and shoulder, purring away. I love my little guy!
He just discovered that toilet tissue rolls off the roll...
Take care,

Hi Marilyn,
Suki has really bonded with me, which makes me so happy because Meesha is Al's girl. I really like the boys, they're not as finnicky as the girls (heh, just like in real life!). Suki's fur has grown and he's just the cutest bundle of fur. He's an AWESOME cat and we just could not live without him. Suki is a little shit disturber I cannot believe he actually jumped to the top of our kitchen cupboards!!! I've attached some photos for you. Merry Christmas and all the best to you and your families (including the critters). Hope to see you at the show in the spring!

Hi Marilyn,
We adopted two female siblings from you over a year ago that were born June 11, 2004. Roxie and Jazmyne are doing fabulous, and we cannot tell you what great companions they are! It's amazing how much like little dogs they are, the way they follow us everywhere and are so affectionate and loving... and mellow! We love the fact they are so laid back.
We have been recommending ragdolls to everyone we know that shows an interest in adopting a cat. We think they are by far, the ultimate feline! My husband's mom recently lost her little dog and has fallen in love with our dollies - we're not at this stage 100% convinced that she is wanting to adopt one, but were wanting to check the availability of a kitten. She would definitely want a female and, as she is in her 70's, the more low key and affectionate, the better!
I can't tell you again, how much we adore our dollies; they are so well behaved and by far the sweetest animals ever! We have never been without a dog in our lives and didn't think the ragdolls could ever take the place our "dog of a lifetime" we lost a few years ago. Rox & Jaz are definitely fingerprints on on hearts - unique and wonderful! I look forward to hearing back from you and hope all is well in your "ragdoll world!"

Marilyn lives on Vancouver Island so we took the ferry across and visited her farm. I did get Basil while she was over on the mainland at a cat show so unfortunately I don't know how stressful a plane ride would be - I know Marilyn has traveled on planes to cat shows with hers but she would be the best expert on that.
My ragdolls, like most, are very talkative and usually answer when being spoken to and certainly learned their names at a very young age and always come when called. My female has the softest voice and whenever we have our speakerphone on she will usually join in on the conversation if she recognizes the voice on the speaker! Simba has a gravely voice like a lion (hence his name), but they are not annoying like a Siamese sound. These cats are more like dogs, they follow us from room to room, prefer to sleep at the end of our bed and whenever I'm at my computer they are always all over my desk - here's a picture of my crazy group.
Cheers,
Emily

Hi Marilyn,
We just wanted to give you an update on our ragdoll (Levi) that we got from you this past January 2005 - we have also attached some photos of him. We absolutely love him, he is a wonderful addition to our family. He follows us everywhere we go. He loves to play and just loves to jump out of hiding places with his arms and legs all stretched out ready to ambush us or our other cat, Maisy. We are also amazed at how gentle and laid back he is. When people come over they are mesmerized by how beautiful he is....we have to agree. We are hoping to one day get him a ragdoll brother or sister but for now he is absolutely perfect, we couldn't have chosen a more wonderful pet.
Thank you again.

Hi Marilyn,
Just a quick update on Pekoe! He is now 8 months old and is 10 1/2 pounds. He is a continual delight and loves the outdoors. He is on a long leash only out when we are out with him. At night he loves to go for a walk and walks along just like a dog. Since he was little he races us for the outside doors and if I am watering plants or unable to keep an ever vigilant eye on him he stays in. But there is this continual loud, mournful wail until he can come outside or I come inside.
He was at the vet for an eye infection. I was worried he had scraped his cornea but he was fine after receiving an antibiotic. He is still on dry food Royal Canin and Eukanuba. Do you give your cats any wet food and if so what do you feed them? Hope all is well with you and thank you again for such a delightful big guy!
Thanks,

Hi Marilyn,
We want to thank you for such a beautiful addition to our family. We named our kitten Tuetel. He arrived in Kelowna safely and immediately fit into our family. We allowed him to take his time to get used to our smells and sounds and after 4 days he started acting like he has been here his whole life and immediately owned the house.
He has us well trained now and shares our bed. He is terrific with our son and is extremely passive and patient with him. He has brought so much joy to our family! Our only regret now is that we didn't buy Vanessa's whole litter! We are planning on a new baby shortly and after that will be purchasing another ragdoll from you. I worked at a pet store for many years and my wife had many cats while growing up, but never have we experienced such a wonderful temperament and breed. We are confident now that your ragdolls are the best cats for families, we would highly recommend you (and have) to anyone that is interested in purchasing the perfect cat.
We have attached a picture of Tuetel with our son, Hunter.
Cheers!

Hi Marilyn,
Attached is a lovely photo of Sweet Pea. She is growing well and continues to delight us! She has taken to stealing and hiding small things recently - anything that she can carry easily in her mouth - including Kailen's socks, Mr Potato Head's eyes, the back of the TV remote, hair ties and pens - and her toys disappear one by one! Now we know why they sell cat nip mice in bags of twelve! Its a good thing that she is so cute and that we adore her so much!
Hope everything is well with you!
Regards, Kyeren, Chris and Kailen Regehr

Hi Marilyn,
Hope all is well at your farm and that your Ragdolls are still bringing home the ribbons! We are all doing really well and everyone who meets our cats just thinks they are amazing, we even sent a friend, Roberta Orth, from Dylan's work who I think is going to be picking up a kitten from you soon. I hope you've enjoyed your long weekend. Today was the only nice day weather wise so I took Cinnamon outside on her harness to inspect the garden and get some sunshine, I have attached a picture that I think is her best one yet! I'll keep an eye out for the next cat show on the mainland and maybe we'll catch up there. Take care!!

Hi Marilyn,
Having just spoken with Jennifer Taylor, who is most excited about the arrival of her new companion, I thought you might like to see how my little prince is doing.
His name finally became "Kamir", because when I met him, he did not look like the "Sookey" I had anticipated. After a week of agonizing and going through about 6 different names, a friend asked me "What does he respond to?", and my response was "Come 'ere". That did it. A little spelling licence and KAMIR was his name. I am thoroughly enjoying his antics and his love....
All the best,

Hi Marilyn,
Just a note to tell you how well Miso is doing. He is just a perfect little guy and we are deeply attached to him, often physically, as he doesn't venture to far from us, and likes to be 'on' us as much as possible. (Do all Ragdolls think they should sleep in the bed, under the covers?) Sometimes lovingly, and sometimes he charges us like a grizzly on his hind legs. We've also recently started bringing him out in the garden with us and he loves it! He races from one end to the other and hunts flies for hours!
I've enclosed a photo of him at 5 months, and as you can see he is beautiful and growing well. Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful cat.

Hi Marilyn,
We are soooo happy that we will be taking one of your delightful, little kittens home in a couple of weeks. We're going to stock up on kitty stuffs this week. The week of Jan. 15th will be a great time for us. We're available anytime that week so let me know a good time for you at your convenience. Here is a photo we took while at your place today.
All the best,

Hi Marilyn, thought you might like to see how Star is doing. She is an absolutely stunning Ragdoll Cat. She has a way of almost looking right through you with those incredible eyes. I'm hoping to start showing her in TICA in October. She loves to be held and is always one step behind me. I'm incredibly happy with her. Just thought you'd like to know how she's doing. I couldn't love her anymore than I do now.
Thanks!

Hi Marilyn: Thought I would write and let you know how little "Matilda" is doing. Hope the cat show in Edmonton went well and that your New Zealand relatives enjoyed Canada!
Matilda is a little darling and is growing quickly, although she still has that cute little "waddle" when she runs! Our Siamese kitten, Meiko, was a little hesitant with Matilda at first, but now they are inseparable. We call Matilda our "retriever cat" as she loves to run around the house with a little furry toy mouse in her mouth! Anyways, she's just a darling and we couldn't be happier with her.
Matilda is getting more and more blue on her face and it's fun to watch the changes in her. I'll send you some photos soon.
Take care.

Good Morning,
The kitten is doing well. She's lovely. I'm really please with her personality, eye color and point color. Coat length is a little short but we'll keep our fingers crossed that it will grow.
Thanks for being flexible with the shipping arrangements. This allowed me to stay for the duration of the cat show without interruptions. Jools made it to 4 out of 6 finals, one of his finals was best cat. Majic made it to three finals, beating out a large number of kittens, approx 68 at this show. All in all, a good show. Thanks to you and Corky, I was able to enjoy being at the entire show.
Please keep me in mind as you evaluate your kittens or kittens that you may have later this year or early spring time. I may be interested in have a seal or blue mitted female kitten (show quality) with the same wonderful temperment and eye color as the kitten I have now.
Thank you for letting me have one of your gorgeous babies!!! I'll keep in touch and will send pictures later on as she grows.

Marilyn,
We are so thrilled with Katie-Lynn. She adjusted so well here. She sleeps in between Terry and me on her own pillow. For a few nights she slept in her post as I crochet her a new blanket and she loves it. The dog and her play great together and I have a cute picture of Lady Diana and her asleep in a pet bed. We will be getting Katie-Lynn her own bed for Christmas. I can't wait to see Katie when I set the tree up with a train that goes around it and all the trimmings. She's not spoiled much!!
Looking forward to seeing you.

Sahbu gets lots of play, attention, fresh food, clean litter twice daily and we all adore him... He has come with me lots of places... even my Tae Kwon Do class where he walks around as everyone stops to see and say 'wow, look at those eyes... what kind of cat?' He lets people pat him and they cannot get over how friendly he is! He has been introduced to my family's cats in other homes and he tries to sweetly engage them, but they end up being afraid of him... which is hysterical. Sahbu hisses and growls like an adult at the dogs... He responds to our voices. He is super cuddly in the morning and at nap time... Thanks a million for the best gift I ever gave myself and our family!

Jasper has the sweetest personality and is so soft and cuddly. He is learning so much as I try to find new games to teach him. He loves water, can't get him away from it, helps with the dishes, checks out the shower after I'm done, and will only drink from his own selection of cups, no water bowls for this guy. He is quite the little furry person, helps me do everything, and always has an idea of where I am. Thank you so much for such a lovely furry friend!

Duffy has almost doubled in size since we got him a month ago and he adjusted very quickly to his new home... He has already gone on his first camping and fishing trip and was a pleasure to have along. He enjoyed sitting on my knee at the campfire... and even went out in the boat fishing several times. It is amazing how well he adjusts to wherever we go! I am so impressed with the personality of the ragdoll breed... Thanks for raising such a terrific breed, Marilyn! We love our new boy!

Thank you for the hospitality you and Corky showed my friend and I when we visited. We both fell in love with the warm, relaxed atmosphere of your home. What a lovely place to raise kittens (and puppies... and human children too!) ... We noticed that each of the stud cats had a big comfy armchair in his enclosure. What a nice touch! It was lovely to see all of the cats that live indoors actually "under foot" and part of the household. And the stud cats were so sweet and friendly - and handsome!

Molly is doing very well. She is very beautiful and has the sweetest temperment. I just wanted to ask you if your ragdolls really like coffee? Molly goes crazy for coffee and sticks her paw into the bottom of my coffee cup and then licks her paw off. She also licks around the rim of everyone else's coffee cups (while they're still drinking). Have you ever noticed your cat's doing this? Is it safe for them to have a little coffee?

Kitty (Simon) arrived on time and with no problems. He was, however, very vocal. Someone even wrote on his carrier: I want your kitty! We gave him a pit (play) stop in Winnipeg prior to travelling home. He was very affectionate and purring. Of course he is following us all over the house and getting settled in... We are very pleased with him. As all proud parents, we think he's gorgeous! Thanks so much for picking him for us.

I thought I would just let you know that Molly seems to be very happy in her new home. She has gotten to be a very active and playful kitty in the last couple of weeks and has certainly kept me on my toes! I now can't imagine not having her around. I've had more visitors since I got her and Molly has charmed them all (she's very sociable.) It was such a treat to meet you both and see all your beautiful cats - it's an experience I won't soon forget.

Infinity is doing great and slowly adjusting to her new home. She'll be 11 months old on September 8th and is growing up although is still playful as anything, loves to scream around the bigger living area we have now....we call her Speedball when she does that. Among her many weird habits, she is enthralled with running water...doesn't want to get wet of course, but loves to watch it and touch it with her paw! We bought her one of those fresh flow water machines, just so she can watch the water flow down the waterfall into the bowl. She drinks from the waterfall, not the bowl.
One of her favourite toys is a Q-tip. We and our relatives and friends have bought her lots of "kitty" toys, but she seems to prefer the simple ones, e.g. q-tips, foil ball in empty kleenex box. Geez....what a riot she is. She sure keeps us entertained and she sure gets lots of love and affection from us two saps!
She is turning out to be a beautiful cat.... of course all of your cats are beautiful... that's why we adopted from you! Her big blue eyes are incredible and everyone who visits and meets her for the first time always comments on her eyes and her soft fur. I enjoyed the Cat Show immensely and found the judging part quite interesting and informative. Hope it was successful for you.

Cinnamon and Basil are doing just great. We moved to a new house last month and went from 750 sq ft to 2200 and needless to say the cats are in heaven! They love the feel of carpet, they were only used the hardwood and lino so now can they get good grip when they tear around the house. Our house has tons of natural light and you can usually find Cinnamon lying on the stairs basking in the skylight sunshine. Basil is growing so fast he is very long and sleek and can give a look that gives him away as Vanessa's baby and gets into mischief so you know he's Olivers son! I hope all is well with you and your family, maybe one of these days I'll convince Dylan that we have so much room now why not get another Ragalong!

Meesha is everything and more we wanted in a pet. I even took her to work with me last Friday because I didn't want to leave her alone all day (Al was off to the Okanagan seeing clients). She was fabulous and everyone was so taken by her. She was well behaved and such a cutie. She loves being on someone's lap and doesn't seem to be shy with anyone. In all the books I've read on Ragdolls, she is exactly what they say about the breed standard. You should be highly commended for the quality of these animals - they are simply fabulous!

Levi has become a very special member of our family and we all love him dearly. He has a very special personality and he has a way of putting smiles on everyone's face. He is always performing. Since we have had him home (just over one month) he has doubled his size and weight. Today Levi had his first bath and he was a perfect gentleman... didn't even scratch me once! I have found that he does follow me around like a puppy and even sits on the side of the tub when I shower. If I make a 3 am trip to the washroom, he is waiting at the door when I come out. It is like his radar is set to whatever mommy does, no matter what time of day or night.
I just wanted to let you know that he is doing well and he is very much loved. Thank you again for allowing us to adopt this precious little guy. I have enclosed a picture of Levi, taken not long after we brought him home.
